New Leadership Change at Chilean Maritime Company CMC (Formerly Known as CCNI) to Implement Ambitious Growth Strategy in the Americas – Effective September 4, 2023
CMC is pleased to announce a strategic transition in its executive team, aligned with an ambitious growth plan in the Americas market. Starting Monday, September 4, 2023, Mr. Arturo Errázuriz Domeyko will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or General Manager of the organization. He will replace Mr. Marcelo Ramos de Aguirre, who is retiring after years of dedicated service at CMC and its predecessor company, CCNI.
The GEN Group, parent company of CMC, has significant plans to expand and consolidate the company’s presence in the Americas. Mr. Errázuriz Domeyko, with his extensive experience and industry knowledge, is expected to lead and execute this ambitious growth strategy.
Before joining CMC, Mr. Errázuriz Domeyko served as Deputy Vice President of Strategic Business Development at CMA CGM, based in the United States. His deep understanding of the maritime and transportation sectors, combined with dynamic energy, positions him as the ideal candidate to drive CMC in this new phase of development
The GEN Group wishes to express its sincere gratitude to Mr. Ramos de Aguirre for his constant commitment and leadership. We wish him all the success in his future professional and personal endeavors.
Under the new leadership of Mr. Errázuriz Domeyko, we are confident that Chilean Maritime Company will not only continue to strengthen its position as a leader in the maritime sector but also reach new heights in the industry, maintaining its unwavering commitment to operational excellence and customer service.
“This change in the leadership of our subsidiary, CMC, is undoubtedly necessary to strengthen us in an international context. We aim not only to meet the maritime demands of our customers but also to extend our presence throughout the Americas and create stronger synergies with other GEN subsidiaries. We are convinced that Arturo, along with the CMC team, will successfully navigate the ambitious plans that GEN has for the company. We wish him a successful journey and he has the full support of both myself and the boards of CMC and GEN,” stated José Manuel Urenda Salamanca, Chairman of the GEN Group.
As the GEN Group, we hope that both CMC and its other subsidiaries and affiliates will always lead the maritime and logistics market, constantly seeking to meet the needs of our customers, collaborate with the communities around us, and continue to innovate, grow, and reach more corners of the world.
Sincerely,
The Board.
